The Indian Journal of Palliative Care (IJPC) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open access journal published by the Indian Association of Palliative Care.

Certificate Course in Essentials of Palliative Care

IAPC has been conducting a Certificate Course in Essentials of Palliative Care(CCEPC) for doctors and nurses from 2007.

The course aims to inculcate the principles of palliative care to improve patient care through proper communication and effective management of difficult symptoms. It involves 15 hours of contact session and 8 weeks of distant learning. During these 8 weeks, candidates have to submit a Reflective Case History.

Doctors with MBBS/BDS (including those doing their internship) and nurses with Diploma in Nursing/ BSc Nursing are eligible to apply.

The course is conducted in June and November.

Children’s Palliative Care

IAPC launched the Children’s Palliative Care Project in India to improve the quality of life of children with HIV and other life-limiting illness.

Launched in October 2010, the project is being implemented in Mumbai region.

Children’s Palliative Care Project in India is part of the two country project of Department of International Development, UK.

ehospice is owned by the Worldwide Palliative Care Alliance (WPCA). IAPC handles the Indian edition of ehospice.
